I am Graduate Student at Nazareth College of Rochester. I am in the Inclusive Early Childhood Program and am looking forward to officially becoming a teacher. Although my start in education was very different. As a highschool dropout and not a fan of my educational experiences, a teacher is the last thing I ever thought I would be. Yet, my experiences from traveling around this interesting country as well as my dedication to non-profit and community service organizations has taught me, there is a lot to learn. Most of this learning is not born of a textbook or even a lecture, but down and dirty experiences. The challenge is to teach this sort of learning to children in the structured school system. This is what entices me and this is what I aim to accomplish. To make learning interesting, applicable and effective for children is my ultimate goal. I am always open to suggestions!
